(Calgary, AB) Earlier this year, global leader in office and production print technology, Xerox, announced a cutting-edge workplace app that will save workers up to one entire workday per week.
The app is called Intelligent Filer, and Calgary-based custom software firm Findan Software created it on behalf of Xerox. Utilizing the power of AI, Intelligent Filer automates the filing of documents, instantly sorting scanned documents into the correct folder and providing a document name based on a company’s defined naming policies.
A recent global study conducted by ABBYY revealed that this could save some workers up to one full workday per week. ABBYY’s study found that approximately 24% of workers lose an entire day of productivity each week while searching documents and looking for information they need to assist customers.1
Todd Scheven, President of Findan Software, says the app is all part of searching for adventurous solutions to challenging problems:

The app took about two years to create, with a 12-month window for planning and a 12-month window for development and execution. The app is the latest in a fruitful collaboration between Xerox and Findan, with the Calgary-based firm creating many of the official applications in the Xerox App Gallery.
